IndiGo Signs Record Deal for More Than 1,000 LEAP-1A Engines

India’s largest airline, IndiGo, has signed a memorandum of understanding with CFM International covering more than 1,000 LEAP-1A engines.

The engines are planned to power 510 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft in the airline’s fleet.

Announced during the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow, the agreement would become the largest single order ever placed for LEAP engines if finalised.

Most of the aircraft covered by the deal are part of IndiGo’s record order for 500 Airbus aircraft announced at the 2023 Paris Airshow.
